Mums celebrated with creative competition at The Rock
The Rock Shopping and Leisure Centre was filled with creative, heartfelt messages for mums this Mother’s Day.
Floral-themed display boards, featuring messages penned by competition winners, were showcased in the centre on the run up to Mother’s Day.
More than 100 people entered the competition and the ten winners each received a £20 gift card for a store of their choice.
The winning designers were:

- Roisin Coady (age 28)
- Elsie Harrison (age 6)
- Mianne Hui (age 8)

- Rachael Thompson
To add to the theme of celebrating mums, visitors to The Rock on Saturday 14th March were presented with a bunch of daffodils to brighten their day.
The Rock Centre Manager, Laura Beal said: “Messages to Mum is such a special campaign for us because it allows our community to express what really matters, love, gratitude and appreciation. We’ve been blown away by the creativity and emotion in the entries and we’re delighted to showcase them in the centre. We hope visitors enjoyed seeing the heartfelt messages as much as we enjoyed receiving them.”
