Bury Cookie Shop Relaunches as Independent Brand, The Cookie Giants.

The Rock, Bury store will continue under the same ownership and team, with familiar products alongside a wider new range.

A cookie shop that has served customers at The Rock in Bury for 15 years will relaunch as independent brand The Cookie Giants on Friday 31 July 2026.

The shop, which has operated as Millie’s Cookies Bury, will remain in the same location and continue under the same ownership, with the existing team staying in place.

The change will allow the business to continue trading at The Rock after its franchise arrangement ends, while giving the team more freedom to develop its own products and identity.

Customers will still be able to buy the freshly baked cookies, personalised giant cookies and cookie boxes already associated with the Bury shop. The Cookie Giants will also introduce new flavours and products, including stuffed cookies and cookie pies.

Personalised giant cookies will remain a central part of the range, with designs available for birthdays and other celebrations. A new website will allow customers to order personalised giant cookies and selected cookie boxes online for collection from the shop.

The team has also sourced alcohol-free flavourings for use across the cookie range.

Mark Whibley, Store Manager at The Cookie Giants, said “We’ve been part of Bury town centre for 15 years, so it was really important to us that the shop could continue with the same team and the products our customers already know and love. Becoming The Cookie Giants also gives us the opportunity to introduce more of our own ideas, from new cookie flavours to stuffed cookies and cookie pies.

“We’ve put a lot of work into getting everything ready and we’re looking forward to welcoming customers into the newly branded shop on Friday.”

The Cookie Giants will officially launch on Friday 31 July, when customers will see the new shop branding for the first time.

The shop will continue to trade from The Rock in Bury town centre. Online collection orders will be available through http://thecookiegiants.co.uk/.

The Cookie Giants will be open Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm, and Sundays and bank holidays from 11am to 5pm.

Shopping centre shines a light on Bury mums

Mums from across Bury and beyond were the focus of a special celebration at The Rock.

We played host to our very own ‘Museum of Mum’ on the run up to Mother’s Day.

The glitzy installation shone a spotlight on more than 70 mums from the town as images shared by families through a social media competition were displayed on screens to celebrate Bury mums and all that they do.

The museum, which was in front of The Range, also showcased the must-have Mother’s Day gifts from the centre’s retailers, with displays from brands including Primark, M&S, Lush and Pandora.

On Saturday (9th March) the activation was brought to life by an event team who hosted a Mother’s Day gameshow with dozens of giveaways

Prizes including vouchers, fragrances and sweet treats were given away to more than 100 lucky winners.

The Rock’s partner charity, Liv’s Trust, also offered Mother’s Day card craft making to visitors.

Arnold Wilcox-Wood, Centre Director at The Rock, said: “Our Museum of Mum has been a hugely exciting activation and it’s been so lovely to see families coming to see the photos of their mums on display. We’re also really pleased our retailers got on board and helped us to showcase the top Mother’s Day gifting ideas. The final highlight was the giveaways at Saturday’s event – we were delighted to spread joy and gifts with our visitors.”
