Could your cause be The Rock’s charity of choice?

Bury’s premier shopping and leisure destination, The Rock, has opened nominations to find its next charity partner for 2026.

The centre is inviting local charities to apply for the opportunity to work in partnership with The Rock on a year-long programme of fundraising events and awareness activity. Submissions are now open and will close on 22nd May.

To put forward a charity for consideration, the nominator must work for, or be heavily involved with, the charity and have its full permission to enter.

Laura Beal, Centre Manager at The Rock, said: “We’re proud to support local causes that make a real difference in our community. Every year we’re inspired by the incredible work charities do across Bury, which is why we refresh our charity partnership annually. This approach allows us to shine a light on different organisations and give our customers the chance to support a cause they truly care about.”

Once nominations close, The Rock team will shortlist three charities, which will then go forward to a public online vote. The vote will run for two weeks in June, giving visitors and the local community the opportunity to choose the charity they would like The Rock to support.

The Rock’s current partner charity, Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, will automatically be included in the public vote.

The charity receiving the highest number of votes will become The Rock’s official charity partner from July 2026.
