Nando’s in Bury town centre has reopened its doors after a six-week refurbishment.

The eatery, located at The Rock Shopping Centre, unveiled its refreshed space on Friday, July 17, complete with new artwork, design elements, and additional seating.

The restaurant, which sits near PureGym and Pizza Express at The Rock, had originally closed in June with few details released other than it was undergoing refurbishment works.

At the time, a spokesperson for The Rock said: “Nando’s at The Rock will be closing its doors for a little while as it gets a fresh new look.

“Don’t worry, it’ll be back soon, better than ever.

“Keep an eye on our socials for all the latest updates on reopening dates and more.”

The restaurant, now able to accommodate more than 150 diners, features bespoke fabrics, statement lighting, and vibrant South African-inspired artwork.

Sarah Etherington, general manager of Nando’s Bury, said: “I’m so excited to be reopening our doors and welcoming fans, old and new, into our refurbished restaurant.

“It looks amazing.

“With a fresh new look and state-of-the-art equipment, we are ready to get grilling for everyone again.”

Fans of the restaurant in Bury can once again explore the full menu of chicken, platters, salads, burgers, pittas, wraps, plant-based options, and a variety of sides and sauces.

Nando’s, known for its flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, celebrates its Southern African heritage throughout its global restaurant network – and the Bury branch is no exception.

The space now seats 110 people inside and 40 outside, creating room for even more chicken lovers.

The refurbishment is part of Nando’s ongoing commitment to showcasing South African art and design, with every restaurant serving as a gallery through its partnership with the Spier Arts Trust.

In addition to fan favourites, the upgraded Bury restaurant will serve the recently launched Super Caesar Wrap and features a RUBRO machine offering bottomless iced tea.

Nando’s Bury, along with all Nando’s restaurants, is also taking part in the UK Government’s Great British Summer Saving Scheme, passing on the VAT cut to customers on its Nandino [kids] meals.
